The value of property recovered by the Police and restored to owners was $21,953.31 as against $20,711.19 in 1908.

OPIUM WARRANTS.

13. One thousand six hundred and eighty-six (1,686) Search Warrants for prepared opium were executed by the Police and Excise Officers of the Opium Farmer, as compared with 1,821 in 1908. In 477 cases opium was found and 640 persons were arrested as against 672 in 1908.

14. The Examiner of Weights and Measures made the following verifications:-
