and gave expression to some four and a half years ago, and which were then adversely criticised and even treated in some quarters with derision, have been, or are in course of being, fulfilled. and 1895 have been exceedingly prosperous years, notwithstanding serious impediments, and I hope and have every reason to believe that this Colony, looking to its remarkable vitality, will, in the future, continue to advance in wealth and prosperity.
