This has been a very thriving business, and Money realized both by the purchaser as well as seller in proportion is considerable... Hence the constant resort of these junks to this harbour has become an every day affair...

It is however a matter of astonishment, that no increase is visible, and that it remains in statu quo, the sales of salt bring larger or smaller returns, according to the seasons, which affect the demand, but there is not much variation throughout the year with these Captains
