From 1890 onwards, each report was described merely as the Annual Report rather than as the Annual Report on the Blue Book, but there was no change in the content.
In addition to these reports, we are including in this collection various other reports: firstly, the initial reports on the administration of the New Territories from 1898 to 1900, which were kept separate from the main administration report of the colony; and secondly, a summary for the years 1841 to 1930 published by the Hong Kong government.
# Published Reports
Below are the references for the published annual reports. From 1890 to 1919 the reports were published by the House of Commons, as denoted by the prefix HoC in the reference. From 1920 onwards, the reports were published by HMSO – the references given here (denoted by the prefix CUL) are the references in the Official Publications Room at Cambridge University Library, whose copies we have used for this collection; these references would not apply to copies located in other copyright libraries. Reports for every year were published, with the exception of the report for 1891.
