PROVISIONAL URBAN COUNCIL
CHAIRMAN (in Cantonese):-I accept the views expressed by you. As for your (Mr. LAM Man-fai's) amended motion, please avoid repetitious accounts of past events and comments, OK?
MR. CHRISTOPHER CHUNG SHU-KUN (in Cantonese):-Mr. Chairman, I think that we all have the right to speak. It is now debate time. If you think that there are doubtful points in his speech, you can make use of your speaking time to render your argument. I hope that Mr. Chairman will prohibit interruption by a third party, which affects my train of thought. Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
Chairman (in Cantonese):-Please go on with your speech, Mr. Lam Man-fai.
MR. LAM MAN-FAI (in Cantonese):-Mr. Chairman, I will go on with my speech and will ignore the fact that he has stood up to speak.

I support in principle the motion proposed by Mr. Wu Chi-wai. However, the Hall of Fame is different from the Bruce Lee memorial gallery, which is to commemorate the internationally recognized personality Bruce LEE ...
CHAIRMAN (in Cantonese):—Mr. LAM Man-fai, would you please stop for a while? I wish to know what's going on.
MR. LAI HOK-LIM (in Cantonese): Mr. Chairman, just now Mr. LAM Man-fai, holding Times in his hand, said that only one Chinese was on the list. This is misleading because there are 3 Chinese among the 100 most influential persons. One of them is Chairman MAO Zedong, and one of them is the person who blocked the tank at Tiananmen Square. I hope that he will not mislead us and I hope he will make a clarification.
MR. CHRISTOPHER CHUNG SHU-KUN (in Cantonese):-Mr. Chairman, you should not have allowed him to utter nonsense. What we are talking about now is the performing arts industry, why are you (Mr. Lai Hok-lim) speaking of other things? Is behaving like this an act of respect for the Council? Let someone else speak ...
