The Dragon Boat Festival too is another festival for which the Council provides technical and financial support in the urban areas each year. And associated with this festival is the International Dragon Boat Races, organized by the Hong Kong Tourist Association with the Urban Council being main sponsors.

With the implementation of the District Board scheme, the Urban Council is also working closely with the boards of the various urban districts to further develop Hong Kong's cultural heritage and endeavours in the field through district festivals.

(1) Report to the Urban Council by the Director of Urban Services and Secretary, Urban Council, for the month of September 1983.

MOTIONS

1. MRS. E. ELLIOTT, Chairman of THE LIBRARIES Select Committee, moved the following motion:-

'RESOLVED that the Public Health and Urban Services (Designation of Libraries) (No. 4) Order 1983 be made under section 105K of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.'

She said (in English):---Mr. Chairman, I rise to move the first motion standing in my name:

'THAT the Public Health and Urban Services (Designation of Libraries) (No. 4) Order 1983 be made under section 105K of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.'

The purpose of the Order is to designate Units No. 58-62, 73–77, G/F, Block 30, Lower Wong Tai Sin Estate, Kowloon as a library and to include it in the Third Schedule to the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.

I beg to move.

MRS. GRACE HO, VICE-CHAIRMAN OF THE LIBRARIES SELECT COMMITTEE, seconded (in English):-Mr. Chairman, I have pleasure to second the motion.

2. MRS. E. ELLIOTT, Chairman of the Libraries Select COMMITTEE, moved the following motion:-

'RESOLVED that the Public Health and Urban Services (Designation of Libraries) (No. 5) Order 1983 be made under section 105K of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.'

She said (in English): Mr. Chairman, I rise to move the second motion standing in my name:---

'THAT the Public Health and Urban Services (Designation of Libraries) (No. 5) Order 1983 be made under section 105K of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.'

The purpose of the Order is to designate Units No. 5 and 6, G/F, Commercial Centre, Pak Tin Estate, Kowloon as a library and to include it in the Third Schedule to the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.

'RESOLVED that—

(a) a Declaration be made under section 79(1) of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132 to amend further the Declaration of Markets in Urban Areas first published in the Gazette as Government Notice Number 1620 of 1960; and

(b) the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance (Amendment of Tenth Schedule) (No. 2) Order 1983 be made under section 79 of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, Cap. 132.'
