(c) To organize, in conjunction with the extra-mural studies department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, senior part-time evening courses in Food Catering Sanitation for licensees, management and supervisory staff of all types of food businesses.
(d) To introduce public health training courses for the public, in particular youth groups, and to intensify publicity for the need for such courses.
(e) To organize public health education contests and projects, and participate in public exhibitions.
(f) To conduct public health education publicity campaigns according to a planned programme.
(g) To promote health education by all available means and in particular by liaison with other government departments and public bodies.

(c) Processing all applications for licences by a Central Licensing Unit to ensure that licences are granted as rapidly as possible and to continue to review, expedite and improve the licensing procedure;
(d) Exercising stricter control over the use of vending machines for the sale of food and drinks;
(e) Working closely with the Resettlement Department and the Architectural Office, Public Works Department, in improving the design of restaurant premises in the new estates.
