CHAIRMAN:

HONG KONG URBAN COUNCIL

Sir, at a previous meeting I was reminded somewhat forcibly by Dr. Raymond LEE, on an occasion such as this, that it was not question time. I do not think that your question is in order.

MR. CHEONG-LEEN: -It was not a question, Mr. Chairman, I was only seeking clarification.

DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS: Mr. Chairman, on a matter of clarification, I am not empowered to discuss Government policy at this meeting.

The question was put.

The motion was carried, with 11 for and 5 abstaining.

ADJOURNMENT.

CHAIRMAN: -That concludes the business of this meeting. Council stands adjourned until Tuesday, 4th September, 1962.
