DR. LEE:-I would be very glad to convey your wishes to Mr. BERNACCHI.

MR. CHAN SHU-WOON, Chairman of the Cemeteries, Crematoria and Funeral Parlours Select Committee, moved the following motion:

RESOLVED under By-law 10(1) of the Public Cemeteries By-laws, 1960, that the Director of Urban Services be empowered to exhume and remove the human remains of persons from the graves specified in the following public cemeteries and to dispose of the same by burial, cremation or otherwise as the Director may think fit.

He said: As the Chairman of the Select Committee, Mr. Chairman, I wish to move the motion standing in my name.

DR. LEE :-Mr. Chairman, as this is one of those statutory motions, which give you the power to exhume human remains of persons from the graves specified in the Schedule, I have no personal objections, and in fact I second the motion.

The question was put.

The motion was carried.

CHAIRMAN:-That concludes the business of this meeting. Council stands adjourned until Tuesday, 7th August, 1962.
