He said: The purpose of this resolution is to ensure, before the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance comes into force, the delegation of authority to seven classes of public officers operating in the urban area. If this delegation is approved, individual officers of these classes will carry departmental warrant cards stating that they are authorized to act under the relevant sections of the law.

"RESOLVED that for the purposes of Section 142 of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, No. 30 of 1960, and in accordance with Section 60 of the Urban Council Ordinance, 1955, the Urban Council does hereby delegate certain powers contained in the Sections of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance scheduled hereunder to the Committees and public officers in that same schedule.
