My Dear Grantham,

With reference to your letter No. 1/3371/51 of 28 September I accept your offer of £1000 for the prints etc quoted in the list which I gave to Sloss. I expect Sloss excluded from the list item 1 of the 'Drawings and Watercolours' (The waterfall Hong Kong); and item 43 of the 'Photographs' (Second cricket Club pavilion) which incidentally I have sent to Owen Hughes for the cricket club centenary. I explained at the time that these were not available."

*

I notice also on looking through the list that items 14 and 27 of the 'Prints of HONG KONG etc' are duplicated; and of course item 19 is a 'blank'.

I am so pleased that these prints have found a permanent home at Hong Kong and particularly that they will be in the hands of those who appreciate the need of protecting them from the rigours of the local climate.

I shall now await a direct communication from the Crown Agents.

With kind regards I am

Yours sincerely Sgd. G. R. Sayer.

Sir Alexander Grantham G. C. M. G.
