I think that a fairly reasonable first shot at an "economic appreciation" of Hong Kong could be undertaken in Economic General Department. There would be certain important gaps, e.g. there are no statistics showing the extent of the entrepot trade, but apart from this Hong Kong deluges us with statistics and other information. The only snag is that we are tied up at the moment with the Economic Survey of the Colonial Empire. If you are not in a great hurry for this, I could go ahead with it possibly in two or three months time.
