May I therefore wish our visitors from

Hong Kong a very pleasant stay in this country,

all success in the business that has brought

them here, and a future of assured progress and prosperity on the far side of the troubles that

also Crank cloud the horizon at present.

May I &#blemet, ka da t

you, Mr. Chairman, and your fellow industrialists from this country for the gracious hospitality

which you have extended to our visitors from

Hong Kong and to myself. It is one of my great

anxieties that there should be the fullest

possible understanding and co-operation between the people of this country and the people of

our territories overseas, all of whom are working with a common purpose and determination to overcome the difficulties and dangers that

beset the civilised world today. It has there-

fore given me great pleasure to take part in so happy a function, where East and West have

met in that spirit of friendship and

association which is vital for the future

both.
