Grateful for approval to grant 39,720 sq. ft. of land Tai Hang Road, Hong Kong, to True Light Middle School for erection of non ?profit (?gp emitted) making school on the following conditions:-
(1) Terms 75 years non renewable.
(2) Premium nil.
Crown rent at $2,000 per acre per year which is normal for the locality.
(3)
(4) Building covenant of $300,000 to be expended within 24 months.
(5) Users restricted to non-profit making school.
(6) Prohibition against sale or other alienation without consent of the Government.
(7) Payment of $17,000 towards construction of new storm-water drains and road gullies.
(8) Reversion to the Crown without compensation for breach of conditions.
2. Grant will enable school authorities to provide middle school for girls now sharing building with girls' primary school and the latter will then be able to expand. Am satisfied that your approval may properly be given. Executive Council agrees.
