With reference to meetings held at the Treasury on the 21st June and the 6th July and Hong Kong telegram No. 748 of the 9th July about the disposal of Japanese assets, I am enclosing copies of correspondence which we have had with a Mr. B. P. Dillon, who is now resident in Hong Kong, concerning his and his wife's claim in respect of losses and personal injury sustained in China during the war.

You will no doubt communicate with

Mr. Dillon regarding any scheme which the Hong Kong Government may introduce in respect of the disposal of Japanese assets in Hong Kong.
