I enclose in original Foreign Office note H 11011/7 of
Dillon 4th April enclosing copies of correspondence with Dr. E. of Hong Kong, concerning his claim for compensation for war damage losses in China.
2. No previous record of Mr. Dillon is available in the Colonial Office and notwithstanding his reference to Hong Kong it is understood from the Foreign Office that he has not in fact sustained any losses in the Colony.
3. In view, however, of the last para raph of Foreign Office letter of the 30th March, I should be grateful if you would inforu Mr. Dillon of the position regarding claims for war damage compensation in Hong Kong.
