Whereas it has been proved to my satisfaction that THE HONG KONG MODEL HOUSING SOCIETY, which is about to be registered under the Companies Ordinance, 1932, as a company with limited liability, is to be formed for the purpose of promoting commerce or other useful objects of the nature contemplated by section 20 of the Companies Ordinance, 1932, and intends to apply its profits (if any) or other income in promoting its objects and to prohibit the payment of any dividend to its members:
Now, therefore, I, SIR ALEXANDER WILLIAM GEORGE HERDER GRANTHAM, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by Section 20 of the Companies Ordinance, 1932, do by this my Licence direct that THE HONG KONG MODEL HOUSING SOCIETY may be registered as a company with limited liability, without the addition of the word "Limited" to its name.
Given under my hand and the Public Seal of Hong Kong, this 24th day of March, 1950.
