Lear Nicoll

Thank you for your letter of the 31st

October about the projected fertiliser factory.

We

too, are sorry that so much time and trouble has been wasted by Brunt's antics and we certainly share your hope that it will be possible to get on with the project

We are asking the Crown Agents to take action on your saving No. 1208 of the 31st October, since this business of negotiating with engineering firms 18 more up their street than ours, and we are giving them discretion to sound Mitchell's very carefully and to report back to us if they think that the firm is not the best for the job. We are sending an official answer to your saving, and will of course keep you informed of developments. I hope very much that this time we will have satisfactory progress to report.

J. F. Nicoll, Esq., C.M.G.,

Yours sincerel
