I have the honour to request your. approval of the grant of an area of 8,150 square feet of land at Aberdeen to the Chinese Baptist Church for the purpose of erecting a public free primary school and a church on the following terms:-

(1) Private Treaty Grant.
(2)
Lease for 75 years (not renewable).
(3) Nominal Premium.
(4) Crown Rent at $800.00 per acre per annum, i.e. $150 per annum for the area concerned.
(5) Building Covenant of $80,000 in 2
years.
(6) Restriction to use as a public free
primary school and a church.
(7) Restriction against alienation except
with the consent of Government.
(8)
Reversion to the Crown without compensation for any breach of the Conditions of Grant.
I am satisfied that a school and church in this area would meet a pressing educational need and that your approval of the proposed grant may properly be given. Executive Council has agreed.
