I have the honour to refer to correspondence resting with
my Savingram 361 of 6th May 1949 on the subject of a Colonial
Development and Welfare grant and loan for the purchase of lorries
for the Government Wholesale Vegetable Marketing Organization, and
to submit herewith an application for the further provision of
£18,750, partly grant and partly loan, to enable the Organization
to replace part of its fleet of transport lorries which are
reaching the end of their period of serviceability.
