As reported by us on the 20th August, 1948, we
understood that a perpetual inventory of these assets was
kept by your Storekeeper and that he was unable to verify
the existence of all items by a physical check by the end
of March, 1948. On the 31st March, 1949, we are informed,
an actual physical inventory was made of all items and those
not accounted for, together with a depreciation charge of
20% on all General Stores and Equipment and 10% on Furniture
and Fixtures verified, were written off to the Income and
Expenditure Account.
