D. 994: annual audited statements.
With reference to paragraph 2 of the Director General of Colonial Audit's report forwarded with your accounts savingram of 1st December 1951 it is confirmed that, because of a misunderstanding, claims totalling $36,554.48 were not made, up to 31st March 1950, against Colonial Development and Welfare funds provided under scheme D. 994.
It is proposed to ask the local firm of accountants which audits the accounts of the Vegetable Marketing Organisation to certify that this sum of $36,554.48 is due from C.D. and T. funds. I should be grateful for your approval for the payment of this belated claim.
