45. (1) Any person who, and every trade union which, Offences contravenes any provision of this Ordinance shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to a fine of five hundred dollars unless some other punishment is provided for such offence by this Ordinance.

(2) Regulations made under this Ordinance may pro- vide that any person who, or any trade union which, contravenes any such regulation shall be guilty of an offence and may prescribe penalties therefor: Provided that no penalty so prescribed shall exceed a fine of five hundred dollars.

(3) Upon conviction of an unregistered trade union under subsection (1) or (2), every person proved to have been a member of the executive of that trade union at any time after the commencement of this Ordinance shall be deemed severally to be guilty of the offence for which the trade union was so convicted and the magistrate shall, after necessary inquiry, declare in his finding and order the name of each person so deemed to be guilty and shall pass sentence upon him according to law.
