Scheme D.669: Purchase of machinery for agricultural development. Variation of scheme to provide for appointment of an agriculturaÏ engineer, (Miss Beaton's letter to lir. Sergell of the 3rd Decerber, 1947).
The Treasury agreed in principle to the appointment for a perioâ of two years and pointed out that the cost of passages for the officer's wife could not be met from the scheme if the appointment was for less than two years.
