36. MAIN BUILDING
Additional offices and classrooms are essential, as in the present accommodation teaching commitments in the Faculty of Arts from September 1950 cannot be fulfilled adequately.
It is recommended that a minimum of eight additional offices and four additional classrooms be provided as a matter of urgency.
Under the recommendation at paragraph 1 above provision would be made for these.
37.
DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
As soon as courses for the Diploma in Education begin (in September of 1950 or of 1951), space will be needed to house the whole Department, as there is at present none available.
It is recommended that a building be erected to house a Department of Education.
This Department could be very adequately housed in the extension of the Main Building recommended in paragraph 1.
