Finance Committee therefore approved formally a supplementary provision of $49,887,461 to clear part of the loan advances. The details of this total are set out in appendix A to this despatch. The amended loan schedule of $100,000,000 consequent on this adjustment is set out in appendix B. The apparent discrepancy of $112,539 between $49,887,461 and $50,000,000 represents the total of various allocations to projects now completed which it is proposed to allow to lapse.

In accordance with the terms of your despatch No.302 of 28th September, 1948, your approval is requested for the supplementary provision of $49,887,461.
