Supplementary provision 1950-51.
Social Welfare Office - Running expenses of
refugee camp.
Finance Committee has now authorized supplementary provisions totalling $1,775,000 to cover the running expenses of a refugee camp for Nationalist soldiers up to 31st March, 1951. The monthly maintenance costs were referred to in my telegram No.1149 of 9th October, 1950.

Disbursements in respect of this camp have been considered as special expenditure. Consequently your approval for this expenditure was not previously sought until it exceeded $1,000,000.

Your authority is now formally requested for a supplementary provision of $1,775,000 for the running expenses of a refugee camp in accordance with the terms of your despatch No.302 of 28th September, 1948.
