This supplementary provision is required to adjust the Kowloon Canton railway accounts. A sum of $176,128 was wrongly credited to revenue in 1949/50 in contravention of Colonial Regulation 272, in respect of anticipated payments, which were never received, in connection with the occupation of railway land by the Military Authorities. The practice of crediting general revene with charges made by the railway before they are actually recovered in the railway accounts has now been discontinued.
