I beg to acknowledge receipt of a copy of your letter No.C/5/67/45 of 27th April and your communication of same reference dated 28th May to the Secretary to the Commodore- in-Charge, Hong Kong, and to regret that Admiralty approval to settle the outstanding claim has not yet been received.
2. A further reminder, asking for very early approval to settle the claim has been sent and it is hoped that the necessary authorisation will soon be forthcoming.
