(73) Pensionable expatriation pay is
admissible for n officer whose home is not normally in the Colony. This is approximately 20% of basic salary and on the minimum of the scale amounts to 280.00 a month.
(c) 1. temporary, variable and non-pensionable cost of living allowance is also payable. For a married office: with a child or children on the minimum of the scale, this amounts at present to 650.00 a month. For a married officer without children 80. of the standard

Who
If available, government quarters are provided and a ront of not more than one seventh of basic salary is deducted.
1st Class passages are provided in accordance with Colonial Regulation 81. An officer may be required to travel by air when on duty, or when proceeding to or from leave. The normal tour is 4 years, but for an officer with 10 years colonial service and over the age of 40, the tour is 3 years. The normal leave rate is one day for every seven days resident service, but for an officer with 10 years colonial servic、 and over the age of 40, the leave rate is 2 days for every 11 days resident service. Local leave is also granted.
The officer is a probation for 3 years
after which, if his services are satisfactory he may be confirmed to the permanent and pen- sionable establishment.
