Dear Goldsmith,
In continuation of my letter to Dyer of 14th May I enclose a copy of & letter my Secretary of stute has sent to fr. Keswick, of Matheson and Co., regarding the claims of the Chinese Ministry of Communications in respect of railway material requisitioned in Hong Kong on behir of the war office. You will see that, as agrend in the course of our telephone conversation the other day, Mr. Keswick hon bean told that the er Office will communicate with him on the subject very noon.
As you know, the Hong Kong Government also L·ra pressing us for information about these claims, both as to their own and the Chinese Government's interest. I should be most grateful if I could be kept informed of progress so that the information can be pused on to Hong Kong.
