FOREIGN OPFICE, S.V.1.

Dear Mussett,

On y return from leave I have been looking at our file about Chinese claims and Tritish counter claims in respect of railway material requisitioned at Hong Kong in 1941 and the damage done to property at Kowlo n by Chinese troops.

I find we have no record of what took place at the eeting with (r. K.

(r. H.Y. sii on the 12th august, or the interdepartmental meeting which preceded it. I should be grateful if you would let me have a copy of whatever record was draw up in this connexion, sud if you (and Scarlett to hon I am 3 ending a copy of this letter) would at the same time let me know whether there have been any further developments since Scarlett's and Muss's letters to you of the 20th July mid 13th upust respectively.

Besides Scarlett, I am a ending a copy of this letter also to .833.

Yours sincerely,
