Dear Mr. Fitzgerald,
First of all, please allow me to offer you my grateful thanks and appreciation for the courtesy which you so kindly extended to me and my secretary when I called on Sir Thomas Lloyd on the 16th instant.
As promised I am sending you here- with enclosed particulars referring to my claims for the loss of the two steamers of the Sang Wo Co., Ltd. as well as those of the Hong kong, Canton & Macao Steamboat Co., Ltd.
I am afraid you will find the en- closed non-interesting and rather boring, but I dare say your Office or the Admiralty has got nearly all those on record with perhaps the exception of the newspaper cutting con- taining an account of the ceremony when the s.s. "Tai Hing" was handed over to the Government. As the latter is the only copy I have, I shall feel grateful if you would request the Admiralty people to return it to me after they have done with it.
I shall be most happy to answer any further questions whenever required.
Apologising for giving you so much trouble and thanking you in anticipation.
Encl:
Yours sincerely
R. Ho Tung.
