I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch No.80 of the 2nd May on the subject of meeting claims for compensation for loss of land through the extension of Kai Tak Airfield, and to inform you that I approve your taking grants of land in lieu of cash compensation for the purpose, whenever this is practicable and equitable, a condition of any such grant being that the land so acquired be developed,
