You may be aware that a Parliamentary Delegation fro from U.K., consisting of Lord Ammon, Lord Amulres, Mr. McLeary, Mr. Harrison, Mr. W. Roberts and Mr. M. Lindsay is to visit China in Cetober Copies of relevant statements made in Parliament on August 5th follow by fast air mail
2a Present plan is that Delegation departs U. K. by air September 29th, arriving Hong Kong October 5tu. They are due in Nanking on October 6th, but it is not yet certain whether they will be able to proceed to Shanghai on 3.0. A. C. through service, or whether other arrangements will be made. If 3.0.A.0. through service to Shanghai is not in operation by then, Delegation may have to spend night of 5th/6th October in Hong Kong. Tour ends at Canton on November 6th, and it is proposed that Delegation should leave Hong Kong by air for Singapore on November 9th. Detalls of return journey will be confirmed as 300D 28 possible,

I shall of course be most grateful if you will afford delegation every possible assistance and facilities, in particular in regard to arranging accommodation for them, where this is required.
