We discussed with Mr. Galsworthy. I have written to Mr. Coates as in flimsy. Would you now ask the people concerned at Dover House (I think it is Mr. W.A. Morris and Mr. Grover) whether they have any comments on the section relating to financial negotiations with Hong Kong, which also refers to the Customs Agreement, on page 85 of the brief, and whether one or both of them would be prepared to attend the briefing meeting at the Foreign Office on the 25th September. I don't think that there would be much point in anyone going from the Geographical Department to this meeting unless the Foreign Office decide to include a section in the brief on the subject of the future of Hong Kong.
