3. ARISING FROM MINUTES
(a) Town Planning Officer.
The Chairman read three telegrams. which had been exchanged since the last meeting, on the subject of the Town Planning Officer. It was generally agreed that the situation was appreciated by the Secretary of State and that it would be preferable to wait until the autum if by so doing the services of Sir Patrick Abercrombie could be secured.
(b) Progress Reports.
Two had been despatched since the last meeting giving a summary of the position up to date. Here the Chairman made mention of a minute from the Honourable C. S. to His Excellency, referring to these progress reports, in which it was mentioned that a general report would be submitted by the Chairman by the end of the month. While the Chairman did not feel optimistic that it would be pos- sible to submit a report covering the ten-year period, he felt it might be possible to give an indication of the main results so far achieved.
