Occupation fron caster.

Native place: Ku Chu Village, Nam Shan.

Dialects: Fukienese, Cantonese, Hakka and Mandarin.

Date of leaving China: Nov., 1935.

I graduated from the primary school in 1934. IN the previosu year, we began to oppose corruption and atrocities committed by village elders. We contected the farmers and spread propaganda opposing the oppressionof the poor classes. However, not only our demands brought no fruits, but also our school mates were assaulted by the strong families. Then another year elapsed and we were compelled to leave our native homes. Some of us wandered in the South Seas, while some joined the army.

During the South drive carried out by the Japanese I too part in underground work. After Japan surrendered I joined the Peace reservation Corps, Medan.

I am willing to participate in guerilla work I am seeking neither honour nor wealth butI am desirous to work for the freedom and liberation of the people.

I stayed two years in Ipoh, after that I went to Penang and obtained employment in the Ming Sang boiler-makers shop. At one time I joined the 'Youths' Corps' in Ah-Yat-Tam. Later on I went to Kat-ta and worked as a boiler maker in the Kwong Tak Sang Machinary Factory. When the Japanese occupied Kat-ta I burried the trench mortars, rifles and ammunitions left behind by the defeated army, in a heap of scrap-iron in the factory, and fled to Penang, thence to Ipoh. The last place I went to was Medan.

When the Indonesians were struggling for independence the Peace reservation Cor s in Medan was formed. Arus were obtained by the Corps and this was strongly opposed by the democrats Medan. Hence the democrats amongst the Corps withdrew from the Corps. Most of its members are now henchmen of the N.E.I. government.
