Gentlemen,
I am directed by Mr. Secretary Creech Jones to refer to the petition to him of the Hong Kong and Kowloon Hotels and Boarding Houses Association praying for the
disallowance of the Hong Kong Hotels Ordinance 1949 in connection with which representations were heard at thi office on the 20th May, and to inform you that after the most careful consideration of the representations made both by the petitioners and by Counsel, he sees no sufficient reason to intervene, and has so informed the Governor of Hong Kong.
