I am directed to refer to the case of the above named who lost his right arm below the elbow by enemy action whilst serving with the Passive Defence Force in Singapore in February, 1942. He was later supplied with an artificial limb in Singapore and states that he is in receipt of a pension from the Singapore Government. An application has been made for a new artificial arm with dress hand and articulated fingers, and I am to enquire whether authority may be given for the supply as a charge to your Department.
