Harbour Craft.
It has been explained that as part of
the general settlement betweon His Lajesty's
Government and the Hong Kong Government regarding
war expenditure, liability for such payment as
may be fimlly agreed for these craft must rest
with the llong Kong Government (Paragraph 5 of your
telegram No.402 and paragraph 1 of my telegram
No.480 specifically refer).
2.
If I can be of assistance in negotiationa
with Ministry of Transport regarding cost you will
doubtless address me further.
