list to the Ministry of Transport list and six
vessels (MINTOON D.P. Nos. 6 and 10 and MINHOP
Nos. 2, 3, 10 and 17) were transferred from the
War Office list to the Ministry of Transport list.
The list of Ministry of Transport craft accompanying
your despatch No. 19 of the 30th January 1948
therefore included these vessels; and it
included them fexcept for MINTOON D.P. 6 and
MINHOP 17) at the valuations given on the
Director of Marine's earlier lists. The values
of MINTOON D.P. 6 and MINHOP 17 were reduced on
the list accompanying your despatch No. 19 because
the vessels were taken over incomplete.
One
vessel, PHOENIX I, appears on the list
accompanying your despatch No. 19 which did not
appear on any of the three previous lists.

The net result of these changes is that
the valuations on the three lists now stand as
follows:-
Ministry of Transport £199,175 (as on list
accompanying your despatch No. 19.)
Admiralty
£173,350
War Office
£ 1,600
The valuation of £199,175 appearing on the list
accompanying your despatch No. 19 is being taken
as the basis for negotiation with the Ministry of
Transport so far as Ministry of Transport craft
are concerned.
