Latest British Tables containing expectation of life of annuitants are "Mortality of Annuitants 1900-1920′′ by Elderton and Oakley, published by C. & E. Layton, Farringdon Street, London, E.C.4. at two guineas. The American tables referred to in your savingram No. 365 are thus more up to date.
26 Government Actuary's Department advise that there is a danger that incorrect conclusions may be drawn by the use of values of expectation of life, and unless the function is used under actuarial advice the results obtained are likely to be quite unsound. In view however of the purposes for which the tables are required you may consider that the possible danger is not of great practical importance.
3. Should you decide to obtain a copy of the British Tables you will doubtless order it direct from the Crown Agents to whom a copy of this savingram is being sent.
