I have the honour to refer to my telegram

(11) on '47 fike No. 1890 of 1947 regarding the Protected Places (Safety)

Ordinance, and to forward for the signification of His Majesty's pleasure the following Ordinance intituled:-

"An Ordinance to amend the Protected Places (Safety) Ordinance, 1946".

An explanatory report by the Attorney-General showing the reasons and occasion for passing the Ordinance is also enclosed together with a statement that in his opinion assent may properly be given.

I take this opportunity of assuring you that the operation of the Ordinance will be kept under close review with a view to reducing progressively the number of establishments to which its provisions apply.
