Mr. Harding,

The Governor has now agreed that a short

visit by a consultant Town Planning expert is

required and that an application for a C.D.7. grant

from Hong Kong's allocation should be made to cover

the cost involved (see 13).

The draft application opposite is the refore

now submitted for approval. It has been agreed that

we should try to obtain the services of Sir Patrick

Abercrombie (See 14) and the estimate of the cost

involved is based on the fees paid to Sir Patrick

for his recent visit to Cyprus which was similar

to the visit to Hong Kong now proposed.
