sir,
I have the honour to refer to your
savingram No. 675 of the 9th October,
1948 regarding the fire which broke out
in godowns at West Point on the 22nd
September, 1948, and to transmit to you
a copy of a letter from the Department
of Scientific and Industrial Research
asking for a copy of the report of the
Commission appointed to enquire into the
matter.
2. I should be glad to know whether
copies of the report can now be made
available for record in the Colonial
Office, and also for communication to
the Department of Scientific and
Industrial Research.
