My name is Mak Kau and I am a fruit stall foki.
Looking across the
I was on board and at my stall when the fire broke out
on the "Kwong Tung". My stall was near the bathroom
on the port side of the main deck.
deck I could see white smoke on the starboard side and
I heard people call "Fire". I got a fire extinguisher
from near my stall and proceeded to extinguish the fire.
More smoke followed and the fire spread a little. I used
further extinguishers. Fire broke out about 7.0 P.M.
There were passage ways between the passagers'baggage.
The foregoing is a true record
of the evidence I have given.
