Reference second sentence of my comments at 2(a). This is a matter which appears to be for consideration by you in the first case but you will no doubt refer to me if you consider there are objections to the procedure proposed in paragraph 2(a) of Shanghai despatch No. 14 of 25th June,

Companies registered in United Kingdom under Regulation 5 of Defence (Companies) Regulations 1940 are pressing for information as to when they can arrange for cessation of such registration under Regulation 5A. Shall be glad to know when you anticipate necessary legislation will be enacted in accordance with paragraph 2 of my savingram No. 62 of 16th April, 1946 and paragraph 5 of telegram under reference.
