Companies which Registered under the Defence (Companies) Reg- ulations, 1940, or similar provisions elsewhere in the British Dominions,
ARTICLE B
Notwithstanding anything in this Proclamation to the
contrary, it shall be competent for any company, which
at any time prior to the 25th December, 1941, had a
registered office within the limits of the China Order
in Council, 1925, and which pursuant to the provisions
of the Defence (Companies) Regulations, 1940, of the
United Kingdom or pursuant to any laws or regulations
in force in any other territory within the dominions
of His Majesty, registered after the 25th December, 1941
as a company either in the United Kingdom or some other
territory as aforesaid and which has not been wound-up
or which is not in the process of being wound-up, to
apply for registration as a Hong Kong Company pursuant
to the provisions of this proclamation provided it
satisfies the Governor that provision has been made or
will be made whereby upon registration pursuant to this
Proclamation the company will cease to be registered
under the laws or regulations having effect elsewhere
in the dominions of His Majesty where the company was
registered immediately prior to a registration order
being made pursuant to this Proclamation or that the
company has been served by the appropriate authority,
in such place as the company was registered immediately
prior to a registration order under this Proclamation
being made, with a notice that the company shall cease
to be registered in that other part of the dominions
of His Majesty at the expiration of such period as is
specified in such notice."
