Dear Mitchell,

Ack (32)

7131

Colonial Office,

Downing Street,

S...1.

5th August, 1947.

Galsworthy mentioned to me that you would like to have copies of the Ordinances, Regulations, etc., relating to the registration of China companies. have just received from Hong Kong a copy of Ordinance No.29 which provides for registration of AK-companies in Hong Kong which transferred their

registration to this country during the war. Unfortunately, the only two spare copies that have been received in the Colonial Office have been forwarded to the Board of Trade and to the Foreign office, but copies are available in our Library for inspection, and I will arrange to send you a copy when spares are received from Hong Kong. At the same time, Hong Kong sent us copics of Article 4A and 4B which have been added to the Military Proclamation No.27 and which deal with the transfer of a China company's resident office to such place es is provided for in the Memorandum of Association, and to the transfer to Hong Kong of a China company which had been registered in this country during the war. I enclose a copy of the recent Order which includes the above two Articles.

Yours sincerely,

#.F. MITCHELL ESQ.
